NG9 Libraries: Services Beyond Borrowing Books
Compare Beeston, Stapleford, Inham Nook and Toton libraries for computers, printing, study space, facilities and regular opening hours.
Published

NG9 libraries offer practical reasons to visit even when you haven’t got a book to return. Inspire, the organisation providing these library services, lists bookable computers and printing at Beeston, Stapleford, Inham Nook and Toton. Choosing between them takes a little more care: opening patterns differ considerably, and study space is specifically described at Beeston and Stapleford.[1][2][3][4][6]
Which Branch Fits Your Day?
Start with the opening pattern, particularly if you need to collect printing during a lunch break or visit after work. These are the branches’ regular hours. Check the relevant Visiting us page for temporary notices before travelling, since those can change the arrangements.[1][2][3][4]
| Library | Address | Regular Opening Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Beeston | Foster Avenue, Beeston, Nottinghamshire, NG9 1AE | Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 9am to 6pm. Tuesday: 9am to 7pm. Saturday: 9am to 4pm. Sunday: closed. |
| Stapleford | 25 Church Street, Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, NG9 8GA | Monday and Thursday: 9am to 6.30pm. Tuesday, Friday and Saturday: 9am to 1pm. Wednesday and Sunday: closed. |
| Inham Nook | Barn Croft, Chilwell, Nottinghamshire, NG9 4HU | Thursday: 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4.30pm. Saturday: 10am to 1pm. All other days: closed. |
| Toton | Stapleford Lane, Toton, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG9 6GA | Monday: 1.30pm to 5pm. Wednesday and Friday: 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. Saturday: 9.30am to 1pm. Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday: closed. |
For an evening visit, Beeston’s Tuesday opening runs latest among these four branches. Stapleford offers another option on Monday and Thursday, until 6.30pm. Watch the split days at Inham Nook and Toton: their lunchtime closures matter if you’re trying to fit a short visit between other commitments.[1][2][3][4]
Computers and Printing at All Four Libraries
Each branch’s Visiting us page includes a Book a library PC in advance button. If using a computer is the main purpose of your trip, use that booking route rather than relying on finding a vacant machine when you arrive.[1][2][3][4]
You can also send a document for printing from your own device, including from home. Follow the branch page’s print portal link, upload the document and choose the anonymous user option on the Cirros welcome page. You’ll receive a job code that remains valid for 48 hours. Bring that code with you to print the document.[1][2][3][4]
Beeston and Stapleford also list scanning and photocopying, while Toton lists photocopying. Ask about the charge for the particular job you need before committing to it. Free Wi-Fi is explicitly listed at Beeston and Stapleford, but that doesn’t establish free printing.[1][2][4]
Where to Go for Study and Local History
Beeston explicitly lists study space with limited availability. Stapleford’s welcome page describes study areas around the library, alongside public computers for adults and children. For a session with your own notes or laptop, those are the two branches with a clear statement about study provision.[1][6]
That still leaves a practical question: will the space suit the work you need to do? Before planning a long session, ask about seating availability and the atmosphere you can expect. For Toton or Inham Nook, check directly whether suitable study seating is available.[1][3][4][6]
For local research, Beeston and Stapleford both list local history collections. Stapleford also identifies its Arthur Mee collection and local studies material. If you’re researching a particular person, street or building, ask what material the branch holds before making a special journey.[1][2][6]
Facilities That Can Shape a Visit
Toton lists baby changing facilities and customer toilets, useful details when planning a visit with a young child. Customer toilets are also listed at Beeston and Stapleford. Both of those branches list tea and coffee facilities, while Beeston additionally identifies a Business & IP Centre.[1][2][4]
Beeston, Stapleford and Inham Nook list wheelchair-friendly access inside and outside. Stapleford also lists an induction loop system. If you need a particular arrangement, describe it when contacting the branch so staff can answer your specific question.[1][2][3]
Check Activities Separately From Opening Hours
Beeston’s welcome page describes cultural, heritage and learning events, including community and family learning through Inspire Adult Learning. Stapleford describes activities for children and other library events. Use the What’s on tab on each branch page to check the programme separately from the building’s regular opening hours.[5][6]
Inham Nook’s branch page also has a What’s on tab. Toton’s welcome page points readers towards family events and activities and invites visitors to ask staff for details. Check the individual listing for the session you want, including any booking instructions, rather than assuming that every activity follows the same arrangements.[7][8]
Two Arrival Details Worth Saving
For Beeston, Inspire gives a specific satnav instruction: use NG9 2NJ for Commercial Avenue. It warns that the library’s postal postcode leads to a pedestrianised road and won’t provide vehicle access to Foster Avenue. At Stapleford, the car park behind the library is reached via Isaacs Lane. Save the appropriate approach alongside your PC booking or printing code before setting off.[1][2]
